15 minutes from Hanamaki Minami IC, one of the properties of Osawa Onsen where you can enjoy a hot spring tour across three accommodations. Sansuikaku offers three types of baths: a large communal bath, a semi-open-air bath, and private family baths, from which you can enjoy views of the Toyosawa River and the opposite scenery. Enjoy unique Ryokan features such as a free coffee corner to relax in yukata and a convenient late-night snack area. The baths at nearby Tojiya and Kikusuitei (closed in winter) are also worth experiencing. Please enjoy them together.
On my first trip to Tohoku, I was looking for a place where I could simply relax in an Onsen with no particular plan, and that’s how I found this Ryokan. The Room with a river view, the open-air bath, and the meals were all excellent. The staff member who assisted us at dinner was very friendly, which made the food taste even better. I’ve come to love Iwate Prefecture, so I’d like to stay here again next time. Thank you very much.

The purely Japanese-style "Sansuikaku" and the over 200-year-old "Jisuibu・Tojiya" stand gracefully along the clear stream. You can enjoy a total of five Onsen experiences, blending modern spaces with traditional hot spring retreats. The highlight is the famous "mixed-gender open-air bath" in Tojiya, offering breathtaking views that let you feel the changing seasons. The Rooms are designed in a purely Japanese style, allowing you to relax at your leisure. Especially from the streamside Room types, you can enjoy views of the Toyosawa River and the scenery across the river. Guests staying at Sansuikaku can enjoy private family baths free of charge. There are three available, and no Reservation is required—feel free to use them during available times. Please enjoy the rich natural scenery and the silky-smooth Onsen to your heart's content.
