After dinner, we will guide you to the heart of Utsukushigahara Highland by bus. On the way, we will search for wildlife (such as deer) using flashlights from inside the vehicle. At an altitude of 2,000m, you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the starry sky, shooting stars, and the Milky Way, thanks to the proximity to the stars, the clear air, and the absence of surrounding lights. Enjoy observing the moon's craters, Saturn's rings, Jupiter's stripes, star clusters, and nebulae through a large astronomical telescope. ■ Reservation: Not required ■ Duration: Approximately 40–45 minutes ■ Telescope types: Schmidt-Cassegrain (aperture 26.5cm) and Dobsonian (aperture 30.0cm)
The Utsukushigahara Plateau, at an altitude of 2,000m, is an Alpine Panorama Observatory offering a 360° view of Japan's famous mountains, including Mount Fuji, Yatsugatake, the Southern Alps, the Central Alps, and the Northern Alps. We also guide you to spots where sea clouds often appear and summer alpine flower fields. Join us at 6:30 AM before breakfast for a tour to the stunning Ougahana and Ougatou. ■ Reservation: Not required ■ Duration: Approximately 90 minutes
