Our Measures to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 Thank you very much for your continued patronage. At Plaza Inn Mizusawa, we have implemented measures to prevent infection related to COVID-19. Following the lifting of the state of emergency in 39 prefectures on May 14, we have revised our initiatives based on the “Guidelines for Preventing the Spread of COVID-19” issued by industry organizations such as All Japan Ryokan Hotel Association, Japan Ryokan Association, Bridal Culture Promotion Association, and Japan Hotel Association. We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation. [Accommodation] - Hand sanitizer is available at the front counter. - Guest rooms are ventilated and disinfected with alcohol during cleaning. - To protect guests’ health and safety as well as public hygiene, front desk staff wear masks. - We have increased the frequency of alcohol disinfection (once every hour) for high-touch areas such as doorknobs, doors, and elevator buttons. - Hand sanitizer is placed near elevators on each floor to provide a more convenient environment for guests. [Restaurants] (Kikusui / Quatre Saisons) - Hand sanitizer is available near each restaurant entrance to provide a more convenient environment for guests. - Tables are disinfected with alcohol. - For frequently touched utensils such as tongs and spoons, we increase replacement frequency and enforce stricter hygiene control than ever before. - Hand sanitizer is also available in restrooms. - At Quatre Saisons, dining options using the garden area are available. [Banquet Halls] - Hand sanitizer is available near each venue entrance to provide a more convenient environment for guests. - Hand sanitizer is also available in restrooms on each floor. - We have increased the frequency of alcohol disinfection (once every hour) for high-touch areas such as doorknobs, doors, stair handrails, and elevator buttons. - For frequently touched utensils such as tongs and spoons, we will increase replacement frequency even during banquets and enforce stricter hygiene control than ever before. - Upon request from guests, service staff at general banquets and weddings will also wear masks. - Shuttle Service buses are disinfected and wiped down after each use by guests. - Regarding required ventilation volume per guidance from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare: since this Hotel complies with applicable building management regulations from construction onward, our building’s air-conditioning system meets these standards without special additional ventilation. In addition, to further avoid crowded conditions (“Three Cs”), we temporarily open doors before/after banquets and during events to circulate air within venues. [Initiatives Throughout the Entire Building] 1. Increased number of hand-sanitizer stations We will increase hand-sanitizer stations on each floor to provide a more convenient environment for guests. 2. Regular disinfection We have increased alcohol disinfection frequency (once every hour) for high-touch areas such as doorknobs, doors, stair handrails, and elevator buttons. 3. Mask wearing while serving guests To protect guests’ health/safety and public hygiene overall، service staff wear masks while assisting customers。 4. Enhanced communication with guests If our employees determine that a guest appears unwell، they will proactively check in with them more than ever before。 5. Health checks upon reporting to work All employees must submit a daily health declaration when reporting to work۔ In principle، any employee with a temperature of 37.5°C or higher or who feels unwell may not come to work。 6. Establishment of an internal response team If anyone becomes unwell، an internal response team directly monitors that employee’s condition و situation۔ 7. Measures restricting entry by non-related persons For certain business areas، when there are no wedding or banquet events， we will further strengthen monitoring systems on each floor۔ 8.
