Beppu Station Hotel West Wing - Hotel Star

I was pleasantly surprised—in a good way—by how much Onsen I could enjoy for this price. The Hotel itself looked a bit old from the outside, and the front desk had a charming, nostalgic atmosphere, but the sink area in my Room seemed to have been renovated at some point and was clean and comfortable. At the front desk, you receive bathing tickets for affiliated Hotels and Ryokan, and you use them to go soak in their Onsen. If you want to visit many different Onsen, you need to get that many tickets, which is a bit of a hassle—but considering the cost, being able to enjoy so many Onsen is well worth it. On the other hand, if you prefer everything to be contained within one Hotel, this system may feel inconvenient. Personally, it was a very satisfying stay in Beppu.

A 1-minute walk from the station. There are supermarkets, convenience stores, and restaurants nearby, making it very convenient. The Hotel itself is old, but it has been renovated and the Room was kept clean.The Onsen can be used at partner Hotels, each about a 3-minute walk away. It is available from 16:00 to 24:00 and from 06:00 to 10:00, and you can use it as many times as you like.In terms of amenities, there are no USB outlets or a kettle in the Room. Each Room has air conditioning. Overall, I visited hoping to enjoy an Onsen and meals for one night near the station, and considering the location, Accommodation Fee, and the pleasant service from the front desk staff, I think this is a great Accommodation where you can casually enjoy Beppu’s Onsen.
