Yoshiike Ryokan

If possible, I’d rather not let too many people know about this incredibly great-value Accommodation. The food is delicious, and the staff are wonderful. This was my first stay in summer, and the pool was neither overcrowded nor too quiet—everything felt perfectly comfortable, so I could truly relax and enjoy it.

I stayed here to relax in Hakone, and had a wonderful time. The garden pool was amazing! I used both the daytime pool and the night pool. Because the water is heated with Onsen water, it was at a comfortable temperature and very easy to swim in. The smaller children’s pool was even warmer—more like a lukewarm bath—and that was great too. Float rings, life jackets, and other items are available to borrow free of charge, so you only need to bring your swimsuit and nothing else. It felt like very attentive service. There were plenty of sofa seats by the pool for relaxing, and we could also enjoy drinks there. With the mountains nearby, you can enjoy the sounds of insects, and if the weather is good you might even be able to see a starry sky at night. I personally preferred the night pool—the atmosphere was especially nice. The staff monitoring the pool were very professional; especially at night, they frequently cleaned the pool with nets (perhaps because insects are drawn to the lights), which left a great impression. Right next to the pool is a large public bath area, so being able to go straight into a bath afterward was also perfect.Just as I had hoped, I was able to spend a fulfilling time within this Ryokan alone. I would love to stay again—thank you very much.
