As this building is a renovated former Ryokan, sound insulation is limited and you may hear noise from neighboring Rooms or the shared hallway. However, the in-room amenities have been updated, and the shower water pressure was stronger than at typical Hotels—no issues at all.Breakfast was a Japanese set meal, and we enjoyed freshly grilled fish that changed daily.More than anything, the male staff were wonderful—thoughtful in every detail, from nearby sightseeing recommendations to dining suggestions and even checking on the air conditioning in the breakfast venue.After checkout, since we had time before the bus to Karatsu Station, they kindly told us we were welcome to wait inside. We also had a pleasant chat with the owner, and time flew by.There are impressive Hotels nearby such as Mercure and Seaside, but if you want to relax while looking out over the river, Karatsu Castle Hotel is highly recommended.It was a great Accommodation that made us want to stay again when visiting Karatsu.Thank you very much.
