A relaxing journey with nature, starry skies, rejuvenating hot springs, and exquisite cuisine.

Tenjuku no Mori Keigetsu, located at the center of Hagi City, Yamaguchi City, Shimonoseki City, Nagato City, and Tsuwano, boasts an excellent location as a base for sightseeing in Yamaguchi Prefecture. The Japanese garden on the property is illuminated at night, creating a magical atmosphere. From its elevated position, guests can enjoy picturesque views like a painting. The Property features large communal baths for both men and women, open-air baths, cold water baths, and saunas. The hot spring water is a simple weak radioactive cold mineral spring known for its skin-beautifying properties to help relieve daily fatigue. Additionally, the Property takes pride in offering kaiseki cuisine made with abundant seafood from Yamaguchi Prefecture.

  • Tucked away a little off the prefectural road, this Accommodation is quietly situated—and truly wonderful. With only a small number of guest Rooms, they seem to focus on attentive hospitality. The meals were outstanding at both dinner and breakfast—so generous you’ll wonder if it’s really okay to eat that much. The price is a bit on the high side, but the value for money is excellent; everything was carefully prepared and genuinely delicious. We stayed as a couple, and the Room was quiet, spacious, and spotless. The Onsen was also fantastic and incredibly relaxing. The open-air bath is wide and spacious, and you can stretch out on a reclining chair in front of nature with nothing on—an amazing refresh that lets you forget everyday life for a while. There was complimentary summer mandarin juice at both the front desk and the large public bath area, and it was delicious too. Our Room had a semi-open-air bath, but that one felt fairly standard. I’m very disappointed that I slept in and missed going to the morning public bath. I’d love to stay again—the staff’s sincerity really came through.

  • The Room was spotless, with a loft-like mezzanine, a sunken kotatsu-style seating area, and a semi-open-air bath where you can soak while gazing at the distant mountains—perfect for enjoying an escape from everyday life. Since there are only a few Rooms, the large public bath was also quiet and relaxing. It was disappointing that morning bathing is only available until 9:00. The meals were so generous we couldn’t finish everything; the sukiyaki and chawanmushi were especially delicious. We also couldn’t finish the late-night rice balls. It would be ideal if there were a Plan where you could eat them the next morning, enjoy the large public bath, check out at 11:00, and then have breakfast as brunch. In any case, it was a very satisfying stay.
