Relax in sulfur hot springs and enjoy the delights of each season.
The Property at Sukenagawa Onsen offers natural sulfur-rich Onsen baths, perfect for relaxing after trekking or skiing while enjoying the seasonal natural beauty. The Onsen, directly sourced from the spring, changes color with water temperature, providing benefits such as skin beautification and fatigue recovery. Additionally, the spacious public bath includes an open-air bath for a varied experience. Guest rooms are equipped with washbasins, toilets, TVs, telephones, tea sets, and hangers.
After reading everyone’s Reviews, we decided to stay at this Hotel! Just as the Reviews said, the Onsen was outstanding. The meals also offered a great variety of dishes, and everything was delicious.Other than the broken TV remote in our Room (we ended up operating it on the unit itself—I’m sorry I forgot to mention it directly), an unremovable stain in the Room toilet, and someone bringing a smartphone into the Onsen (I was very surprised), everything else—at this price for this season, the quality of the Onsen, and the hospitality of your staff—was extremely satisfying. Unfortunately, the weather was bad so we couldn’t go hiking, but next time I’d love to hike from the Maeyama Summer Lift. We look forward to staying again.Thank you very much for taking care of us.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 9/23/2026There is no sauna or cold plunge pool here, but the Onsen is amazing. The meals are more like those at a traditional guesthouse, but that doesn’t bother me.I’ve been coming here for 20 years. It has suffered avalanche damage and shows signs of aging, but I hope they keep it going for a long time.

Introduction of the Accommodation

Enjoy Shiga Kogen
Shiga Kogen is a national park home to a UNESCO-recognized precious ecosystem. From winter to spring, enjoy skiing, while from spring to autumn, you can experience hiking amidst fresh greenery, alpine plants, and colorful autumn leaves. Year-round activities include birdwatching, stargazing, and firefly watching.
In addition to a spacious 170-tatami mat hall suitable for large gatherings, there are also a restaurant, a tea room, a dining room, and a shop.
Sasagawa Hotel is located at an altitude of approximately 1,700m in the Kumano-yu and Sasagawa Onsen area, a key spot on the Shiga Kusatsu Kogen Route (National Route 292). The summer temperature is about 10 degrees lower than in flatlands, making it perfect for a cool retreat. It is also convenient as a base for exploring nearby tourist attractions.
