<Step into a space adorned with tile and plaster art> Following a bathroom renovation in December 2025, the space has been reborn into a warm, nature-inspired retreat featuring mosaic tile, diatomaceous earth plaster, and solid wood. Thanks to the humidity-regulating properties of the diatomaceous earth plaster, the indoor air is gently balanced for a comfortable stay. By combining large-format tiles with mosaic tiles, we achieve both practicality and design—creating an artistic space that goes beyond the conventional image of wet areas. The washbasin counter is crafted from solid Nagano-grown wood that has been sun-dried in rhythm with the lunar cycle, and custom-designed as a one-of-a-kind built-in piece to suit the space. The texture of natural materials and handcrafted warmth bring calm to the entire room. In addition, we make use of natural materials as much as possible and minimize chemical substances, creating a gentle space with consideration for the environment. A quiet, comfortable design space in harmony with Hakuba’s nature. Restaurants such as cafés and izakayas are within a 5-minute walk. Day-use Onsen baths, supermarkets, and Iwatake Resort are all within a 10-minute drive.

Notice of Discontinuation of Disposable Amenities

For the past few years, Hakuba Village has been working to eliminate disposable amenities, reduce plastic use, and cut waste across the entire village.
To help protect Hakuba’s magnificent natural environment and snowfall, please bring your own toothbrush and other personal items.

In recent years, there have been stretches of several weeks when summer is too hot to be called a cool retreat, and due to low snowfall the mountains sometimes close before Golden Week.
Amenities may seem like a small thing, but one step by 100 people makes a bigger difference than 100 steps by one person in slowing global warming.
Please consider bringing your usual toothbrush and other items, or filling up with Hakuba’s natural spring water to reduce plastic bottle waste.
So that this rich nature can continue to heal us 100 years from now, why not start today—each of us doing what we can to be kinder to the planet?
