A Ryokan where you can stay with your beloved dog, located almost in the center of the Gero Onsen town. We offer various Plans to suit your needs, such as a charcoal-grilled A5 grade Hida beef course, a feast Kaiseki with six Hida cuisine dishes, and a Room dining course where you can spend both dinner and breakfast with your dog. Free amenities include gifts for your dog, a walking set, hot towels, cages, aluminum dishes, and lidded trash cans! Additionally, we have a mini indoor dog run, a family bath where you can enter with your dog, a foot washing area for after walks, and a photo spot for commemorating your dog, providing ample Facilities for your dog! Please visit us for an Onsen trip with your beloved dog.
Since the Room we selected was on the 4th floor, we got quite tired going back and forth three round trips down to the 1st floor (for walking our dog, etc.), plus meals and the bath (four round trips up to the 2nd floor) (lol).Next time, we’ll choose a Room on the 1st or 2nd floor (lol). Other than that, there were no problems. Our dog was happy, and the food was delicious too.(We are an elderly couple, aged 75 and 70.)
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 8/10/2026I stayed for one night.It was my first time back in Gero Onsen in a while, and last time I only remembered a quiet Onsen town. However, now there are many new shops, and with people posting their products on social media, there were lots of young couples and groups, as well as many inbound visitors such as overseas couples. Wanpaku-tei is in a very convenient location for visiting these shops. The staff who welcomed the dogs inside the property were very kind, and the amenities were well stocked. The meals were also delicious, including charcoal-grilled Hida beef and hoba miso-yaki.The only reason I’m giving it one less star is that there are only stairs, so carrying luggage up to the 4th floor was tough. If you’re aware of this in advance, it should be fine. It was my first stay here, but now that I know what to expect, I think next time I’d give it 5 stars.We had clear weather for two days, but it was windy and chilly so we couldn’t go out at night. The Onsen was great though, so next time I’d like to visit on a less windy day.Sorry for the long review. By the way, next door is a pudding shop.

They vary depending on the plan you choose. ① Room Dining If you choose the room dining plan, both dinner and breakfast will be served in your room, allowing you to enjoy meals with your beloved dog. ② Tatami Floor Relaxation Restaurant within Wanpakutei This is a relaxation restaurant equipped with exhaust facilities, where charcoal-grilled dishes are also available. ③ Sister Hotel Dining We offer a buffet-exclusive restaurant at Hotel Kusakabe Armeria and a stylish dining venue with brick and neon, featuring a kaiseki course.
