All rooms are separate cottages, each equipped with a natural Onsen. At the dining area relocated from the World Heritage site Shirakawa-go, enjoy charcoal-grilled Oita Wagyu beef of grade 4 or higher and local chicken. From the gender-separated open-air baths, you can view the majestic Mount Yufu. Experience the sunlight, the whisper of the wind, the scent of the earth, and the sparkle of the stars that cannot be found in the city. Refresh your body and mind with the power of nature.
The Room was spacious, and we felt no stress at all. The Room also had a semi-open-air bath. The Onsen is heated, but that actually made it easy to adjust the temperature, so we could enjoy it at just the right warmth—the water quality was excellent and very relaxing.We had our meals in the main house, and they were an outstanding value and absolutely delicious. Thanks to the staff’s thoughtful hospitality, our child was able to enjoy dining as well. There is a bamboo grove on the grounds, and at certain times you can interact with chickens and goats—this became a wonderful memory for our child. It’s also close to central Yufuin and Kijima Kogen, so it’s an ideal location for those traveling by car.This is an Accommodation you’ll want to visit again.

Introduction of the Accommodation
Shirakawa-go in Gifu Prefecture is a famous site of Gassho-style houses designated as a World Heritage site. The main building of our facility was relocated from Shirakawa-go. It is extremely valuable as a folk material, and even now, timber from the Edo period is used throughout. On the second floor, you can see exhibits of old farming tools and get a close look at the beams of the Gassho-style construction.
A 15-minute drive from the center of Yufuin, Tsukahara Highlands is a very quiet place where nature remains untouched. Located in such Tsukahara Highlands is "Sansou Shiki." On the premises, goats and chickens live, and you can freely interact with them.
