"Moving the heart, with ingenuity." Founded in 1879 as a kaiseki restaurant, this is a long-established Ryokan in Isawa Onsen. We use our own natural hot spring source that gushes forth from within the premises, known as "Bijin no Yu" (Beautiful Skin Water) for its excellent quality. Enjoy the blessings of the Onsen with the "Yakuseki-yoku Arashi no Yu," opened in 2020, and the spacious private baths "Oku no Yu" and "Manyo no Yu." Carrying on traditions since the Meiji era, we offer creative kaiseki cuisine that delights both the palate and the eyes, using seasonal ingredients. For our "Impressive Breakfast," we take pride in providing a comforting meal with a focus on "homemade," "variety," and "seasonality."
We stay here mainly for Arashi no Yu, and every time it’s one moving experience after another—thank you again for this visit. The table tennis & darts Room was a hidden gem, and the kids were thrilled! If I had one request, it would be to have some board games the kids can enjoy (even something like UNO) in the table tennis Room or at the front desk—then children wouldn’t get bored even during a Multiple Night Stay. In any case, thank you as always for another wonderful experience.

All the staff were very courteous, and we were truly happy that they remembered our previous stay. The meals were excellent—not only dinner, but especially breakfast, which offered an impressive variety and was delicious. We were also surprised to see the owner personally serving guests at breakfast.This is an Accommodation we would love to visit again. Highly recommended!!

Large private bath "Oku no Yu - Manyo no Yu"
The spacious private bath with an open ceiling is so impressive you'll find yourself looking up in awe. Perfect for families, it offers a serene and aromatic wooden atmosphere, creating a blissful private retreat. Since October 2021, the facility has been made barrier-free from the entrance to the bathtub, ensuring accessibility for elderly guests and those with physical disabilities. The barrel-style bath is equipped with a platform and handrails for added convenience.
Natural Onsen and Medicinal Stone Bath 'Arashi no Yu'
Experience detoxification from within with the therapeutic mineral bath. At Arashi no Yu, 15 types of therapeutic stones are spread across the floor, heated by passing Onsen water through them. These heated stones release a large amount of minerals along with their warmth. The minerals, in an environment of over 80% humidity and a temperature of 45°C, penetrate your body, causing refreshing sweat to emerge within just 1-2 minutes. Discover a new sensation of relaxation at Itoyanagi's "Arashi no Yu."
