The large communal bath features a fully tatami-matted floor, providing a novel bathing experience. The non-slip surface ensures safety for both children and the elderly. The water is a weakly alkaline, low-mineral, high-temperature Onsen. Dinner includes seafood dishes that defy expectations for a mountain setting. The dining area, styled with chairs on tatami mats, known as "Kyaku Raku Zen," is popular. It reduces strain on the legs and back, allowing you to relax and enjoy your meal.
We stayed here as a couple in early August. The Hotel had been renovated, and it felt both new and clean while still retaining a nostalgic charm—an unusual and memorable atmosphere. The large public bath also had an authentic open-air bath, which was very relaxing, and we enjoyed the lavish breakfast as well.It was a little disappointing that the basic skincare set provided was somehow only for one person, but overall we were very satisfied with our stay.
