The property was better maintained and cleaner than I expected from the exterior. The meals were generous, and the rice in particular was delicious. The international staff were well trained, and their friendly service with a smile was very pleasant.

The proprietress at the dining venue was a great conversationalist and provided outstanding hospitality. Dinner was a kaiseki meal, and breakfast was a buffet. Side dishes, rice, and bread were all all-you-can-eat. There was far more food laid out than the number of guests would suggest, and we were able to relax on the tatami.We stayed with our dog, but sounds from the hallway carried clearly into the Room, which made our dog bark repeatedly and caused some trouble. As it was a corner Room, we also heard what sounded like a motor or fan noise echoing late at night, so we slept with earplugs. The central air conditioning didn’t suit us; even though it was winter, we kept the window open (sorry if this was due to our own mistake). I intended to mention this at check-out, but their warm service won out in the end—they waved goodbye until we were out of sight—so we were able to head home smiling.An Accommodation that offers more than its price suggests—a Hotel you can use with peace of mind whether you’re alone or as a couple, with family or in a large group. We’d like to visit again for the Hotel itself rather than for sightseeing.
