The features of Hirayu Onsen are said to be
Hirayu Onsen, a hot spring village gently enveloped in the scent of sulfur. Among the Okuhida region, it boasts the oldest history and is renowned as one of the most famous Onsen in Japan. Within the Hirayu Onsen area, there are approximately 40 wells and hot spring sources, producing an abundant flow of 13,000 liters per minute. The water quality of this Onsen, which can reach temperatures as high as 90 degrees Celsius, contains sodium, calcium, magnesium, and bicarbonate spring elements. It is said to be effective for gastrointestinal diseases, rheumatic disorders, neuroses, skin diseases, and more, and is also utilized as a therapeutic Onsen.
