Kiyonami Onsen

Murakami Seiba Onsen, where we stayed this time, was a wonderful Onsen Accommodation that lets you fully enjoy breathtaking views of the Sea of Japan.What impressed me most was the sunset sinking into the Sea of Japan. As the colors of the sky and sea changed moment by moment, the sun slowly setting beyond the horizon was so beautiful I lost track of time watching it.The Onsen is also one of its biggest highlights. From the large public bath you can take in panoramic views of the Sea of Japan, and soaking at a relaxed pace while listening to the waves felt truly luxurious.The Accommodation is located just steps from the coast, making morning and evening walks a real pleasure. In the evening you can stroll while watching the sunset, and in the morning you can walk along the shore with a refreshing sea breeze—an especially soothing experience that only travel can offer.

While the building and Facility show signs of age, they are well maintained through ongoing repairs and thorough cleaning. The proprietress and all staff were very friendly and attentive, making our stay comfortable. One staff member told us, “The building is old, but the location (the seaside is right in front of you!) and the baths are amazing,” and it was heartwarming to feel their love for the Ryokan. The meals may not feature luxury ingredients like those at high-end Ryokan, but for this price we were more than satisfied.
