  • It was very, very good.

    The large public bath offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the lake and lush green mountains through an enormous glass window, about 3 meters tall and over 20 meters wide. It truly melts your fatigue away. Dinner was exquisite, with an elaborate menu that clearly reflected the head chef’s passion and dedication to serving delicious food. The breakfast buffet also featured many handmade items, including an Ibaraki Prefecture corner, and we left completely satisfied. It is truly an oasis in the city. I am from Beppu and absolutely love Onsen, and I quietly support Kamenoi Hotel from afar.

    To coincide with the peak season for vibrant summer flowers, the “Spectacular! Summer Fair!” is scheduled to be held. The park welcomes visitors with refreshing lime-green kochia and a wide variety of colorful summer blooms. During the fair, in addition to flower viewing, you can enjoy water-play areas, hands-on events to support summer vacation homework, and sales of refreshing “chilled sweets,” along with many other activities.

    From early July, lime-green kochia grows steadily under the summer sun. Enjoy its cute rounded shape and soft texture. From late September to early October, it gradually begins turning red from its summer green, creating an ever-changing gradient of green and red.

    Sunflowers typically reach their best viewing season in mid-August. At “Miharashi no Sato,” tall sunflowers with large blooms are planted across a wide area. Like a yellow carpet spreading out before you—together with nearby kochia and zinnias and traditional old houses—they create a soothing summer landscape for visitors.
