Enjoying five naturally springing source waters, 100% free-flowing from the source, and four distinct spring qualities—each with different benefits, color, and feel—all in one place is a rare luxury even in the Shiobara Onsen area. We offer 10 different baths with unique atmospheres, including our signature riverside open-air bath where you can feel at one with the Shikamata River flowing right before you, as well as a modern large public bath. From an amber-brown cloudy bath that gently warms you to the core to the miraculous ink-black bath that lets you sense the breath of the earth, a new впечатление awaits with every step inside.
The Rooms at Myogaya Honkan are calm Japanese-style Rooms that reflect the dignified atmosphere of a long-established inn loved by travelers for generations. Wi-Fi is also available (1st to 4th floors). One of their charms is the abundant nature just outside the window. Open it, and the soothing sound of the river and crisp, clear air fill the Room, offering panoramic views of the beautiful valley in every season—from fresh greenery to autumn leaves. We generously use ingredients nurtured by Tochigi’s abundant nature, including fresh morning-harvest vegetables delivered daily from local Shiobara farmers and the premium “Yashio Trout,” raised in underground water from the Nasu mountain range. Our highly praised rice is Tochigi-grown Koshihikari, milled after you order and cooked to fluffy perfection with pure spring water.
