    We stayed here after visiting the Kushiro Marsh. The medicinal cuisine dinner was delicious. The Onsen was spacious and clean, and it warmed us up and felt great.There is a guest-only laundry, which was very helpful. If we go to Kushiro again, we would like to stay here again.

  • A Cozy Onsen Accommodation

    About a 15-minute drive from the airport by rental car. The building doesn’t seem new, but the Rooms and other areas felt well maintained. The courtyard, with its small marsh-like feel, was quite lovely.Dinner was included, and there was a small side dish made with chicken. When I mentioned, “It’s a shame—I can’t eat chicken…,” the staff seemed to relay it to the kitchen and kindly replaced it with a seafood dish (such as shellfish)… I was truly touched! Everything had gentle seasoning and was delicious.Both the Onsen and the restaurant also seem to be used by non-guests, so I imagine this Accommodation is well loved by locals.I didn’t add breakfast, so I bought some bread at a shop at the airport. …There didn’t seem to be any convenience stores nearby… They gave me one bottle of water, so I was able to make coffee that I had brought with me.My Room was on the first floor, but at night—whether from above or next door… there were loud noises that bothered me. I was tired, so I fell asleep before long…

    ■ Overview of the Accommodation Tax
    Tax Start Date: From stays on or after Tuesday, April 1, 2026
    *Please note that even if you make a reservation before April 1, 2026, stays on or after this date will be subject to taxation.
    Tax Amount: ¥200 per person per night.
    Tax Scope: All guests staying at hotels, ryokans, and other accommodations within Kushiro City.
    Collection Method: The tax will be collected separately from the accommodation fee at the front desk.

    ■ Combined Tax with Hokkaido Accommodation Tax
    Starting April 1, 2026, Hokkaido will also introduce an accommodation tax. Guests staying in Kushiro City will bear both taxes as follows:

    Accommodation Fee (per person per night excluding tax): Total Amount of Taxes
    - Less than ¥20,000: ¥300 (Kushiro City ¥200 + Hokkaido ¥100)
    - Between ¥20,000 and less than ¥50,000: ¥400 (Kushiro City ¥200 + Hokkaido ¥200)
    - Over ¥50,000: ¥700 (Kushiro City ¥200 + Hokkaido ¥500)
