    Although it was the rainy season, we were able to fully enjoy Genbikei Gorge with reassuring weather.\nThe river surface was also visible from the Accommodation, which was wonderful. In addition, there is nothing to complain about regarding the meals and the Facility.\nWe plan to visit again.\nThank you very much.

  • Highly satisfied

    It was great value for money despite being in a prime location, just a 10-minute walk to Genbikei Gorge. The Facility is old, but it was clean and well maintained. The Onsen entrance had a small garden that added a nice touch. There was a spacious indoor bath and open-air baths with different temperatures, all at just the right heat. Dinner was a choice of set meal plus a half buffet, and everything we tried was delicious. Breakfast was buffet-style with plenty of options, and we were very satisfied. It was a last-minute trip, but both the Onsen and the food exceeded our expectations—we’d love to visit again someday.

We recommend a sightseeing plan based at Itsukushien. ■ <World Heritage> Hiraizumi A group of buildings, gardens, and archaeological sites representing the Buddhist Pure Land. The "Cultural Heritage of Hiraizumi," registered in June 2011 (Heisei 23), consists of five assets. ■ Genbikei Gorge A scenic spot and natural monument. You can see contrasting scenery from the suspension bridge: the rough upstream flow and the gentle downstream pool, each offering seasonal beauty to enjoy. ■ Geibikei Gorge Counted among Japan's top 100 landscapes, Geibikei Gorge is a scenic spot loved by people of all ages throughout the year. ■ Mount Kurikoma An attractive scenic area visited by many people throughout the year. It is located in central Tohoku region and spans three prefectures: Miyagi, Iwate, and Akita. ■ Takkoku no Iwaya A rock cave where Sakanoue Tamuramaro enshrined Bishamonten to commemorate his conquest of barbarians. The entire precinct is designated as a historic site.
