Fresh seafood and an open-air bath with a panoramic view of the starry sky await you.

Just over 2 hours from Tokyo via the Tohoku Shinkansen and Fukushima Kotsu Iizaka Line. Only a 2-minute walk from Iizaka Onsen Station, making it conveniently close to the station. Pass through the gently swaying white noren curtain to be greeted with welcome wine and your very own original post-Onsen shaved ice. Dress in colorful yukata and savor a Japanese course meal featuring fresh seafood. From the open-air rooftop Onsen, enjoy a miniature garden-like view and a starry sky, with water flowing since the era of Yamato Takeru. There are also Rooms with private dog runs, allowing you to enjoy travel time with your beloved pet. Additionally, we offer Rooms and Plans tailored for business purposes.

  • I’ve stayed here so many times that I’ve lost count. When I first visited, I thought, “Maybe they can’t quite keep up with every little detail…” but with each stay, the areas I noticed have been improved and kept cleaner. The food is delicious, and above all, the sake is excellent. I also really appreciate the dogs’ passports. We’ll be back again in autumn.

  • The authentic Japanese hospitality and atmosphere made the stay very comfortable. All the staff were cheerful and welcoming, which I really appreciated. The Facility shows its age, and I would have liked one more towel for the washbasin, so I rated it slightly lower. This is an Accommodation I’d love to stay at again.

Remarks
The Onsen water temperature is 58.5°C, perfect for hot spring enthusiasts who enjoy a hotter soak, and it is known for keeping you warm long after bathing. The water is soft, colorless, and transparent with an alkaline simple Onsen quality, said to help with fatigue recovery and health improvement. Iizaka Onsen is one of the oldest hot springs in the Tohoku region and was historically called "Sabako no Yu." Alongside Naruko and Akiu, it is counted among the three famous Onsens of Oshu. It has a rich history; it is said that Yamato Takeru visited during his eastern expedition in the 2nd century, and haiku master Matsuo Basho stopped by during his journey on "The Narrow Road to the Deep North" in 1689. Operating hours: 15:00–24:00 / Next morning: 5:30–9:30
