  • The Onsen was excellent, and every dish was delicious. The white shrimp rice cooked in a pot was especially outstanding and truly memorable. The building felt a bit dated, but the staff’s kind and attentive service more than made up for it, making our stay very comfortable.

  • We were looking forward to staying at this long-established Hotel. We stayed as a family of four. The exterior looks quite old, but parts of the inside have been renovated. The front desk staff were pleasant and provided very kind, attentive guidance. We stayed in a Room that had not been renovated, so it did feel dated, but the toilet has been renovated so there was no inconvenience, and everything was well cleaned. Amenities were more than sufficient, and having tabi socks provided was a big plus. It would have been even better if there had been a basket bag for carrying items to the bath area. Also, the refrigerator was large and convenient. It even had a freezer compartment, which was great—we could freeze our ice packs. There are three bath areas in total; some switch between men and women, but if you go in both the evening and morning you can use them all. The baths were well cleaned and fully stocked with amenities, so they were very comfortable. The Onsen temperature was just right. Dinner was served in a large hall like a banquet venue, with each group seated at their own table.Tea and water were self-serve and set up nearby, so it was easy to get what we needed right away. We chose the casual course; it included many dishes we liked, and the sashimi and white shrimp kamameshi (rice cooked in an iron pot) were especially delicious. Overall it felt thoughtfully prepared and we were very satisfied with the content. We had seen many Reviews saying the portions were small and were worried about that, but since we drink alcohol it was just the right amount for us—Hotel kaiseki is often hard to finish otherwise. If you don’t drink alcohol and want to eat more, I think choosing the standard course or ordering additional dishes would be best.Breakfast was a buffet in a venue with an outside view. Seating is guided by staff; getting a window seat would be ideal. The buffet is compact but offers plenty of variety, with many tasty items overall. Personally, I would have loved small cakes or similar desserts as well. The trolley train boarding area is also within walking distance from here (on foot). Overall we were highly satisfied—this is a Hotel we’d like to return to.It became a wonderful travel memory for us.Thank you very much.

A breathtaking view overlooking the Kurobe Gorge and Kurobe River.

The Kurobe Gorge, located within the Chubu Sangaku National Park, is a deep V-shaped canyon formed over many years alongside the uplift of the Northern Alps. Its grand, natural scenery, a masterpiece of nature, is truly breathtaking and a source of pride on a global scale. Entaijiso is situated at the entrance of the Kurobe Gorge, offering dynamic seasonal beauty right before your eyes: in spring, the vibrant greenery full of life; in summer, the lush and powerful vitality of nature; in autumn, the breathtaking mosaic of red, yellow, and orange hues; and in winter, the serene snow-covered mountains enveloped in a tranquil stillness, as if time itself slows down.

100% Pure Natural Beauty Hot Spring

The source of Unazuki Onsen is located in Kurotani, about 7.5 km upstream along the Kurobe River. Fresh hot spring water is supplied daily to the Unazuki Onsen town through a pipeline. The spring quality is a colorless, odorless, alkaline simple spring, boasting high transparency similar to the Kurobe River. Refined by the magnificent nature of the Kurobe Gorge, the Onsen is gentle on the skin and contains a high amount of metasilicic acid, which is also found in skincare products, offering excellent beauty benefits. It gradually seeps into the skin, leaving you with a smooth and silky texture, described as "tsubetsube" (Toyama dialect for smooth and soft).

The origins of Kaiseki cuisine using Toyama's delicacies

The Ryokan "Entaijisou" began its history in the 33rd year of the Meiji era as a culinary inn. Our kitchen, inheriting the traditional techniques of a long-established culinary ryokan, has produced many chefs active in various fields and can be considered the origin of kaiseki cuisine using the blessings of Toyama. With the "eye" and "technique" of chefs cultivated by the culinary philosophy since its opening, you can enjoy dishes that further enhance the deliciousness of fresh seafood caught in the morning from Toyama Bay.

About Hygiene Measures
In accordance with the "Guidelines for COVID-19 Measures in Accommodation Facilities" created by accommodation organizations including All Japan Ryokan Association, the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare, Japan Tourism Agency, and experts, we have implemented the following preventive measures tailored to our facility's scale and circumstances. These guidelines will be reviewed as necessary based on the latest government insights regarding COVID-19 prevention. - Minimize contact between staff and guests as well as among guests; maintain social distancing (2m recommended, 1m minimum). - Prevent infections in areas used simultaneously by many guests such as lobbies, public baths, dining areas including restaurants, shared restrooms, shuttle buses. - Provide hand sanitizers throughout the facility. - Require mask-wearing (staff members, guests, visitors). - Ensure proper ventilation in pantries (forced ventilation for guest rooms). - Regularly disinfect all areas within the facility. - Conduct daily temperature checks and health monitoring for employees. - Perform health checks for guests upon arrival. - Implement appropriate measures if a guest feels unwell or is suspected of having COVID-19 symptoms. Additional measures: • Minimize shared items or frequently touched surfaces through innovative solutions. • Properly clean/disinfect items that come into contact with hands or mouths (e.g., cups/chopsticks) or use disposable alternatives. • Install acrylic panels/transparent vinyl curtains at face-to-face interaction points to prevent droplet transmission. • Wash uniforms/clothing frequently. • Enforce thorough handwashing and hand sanitization practices. • Avoid crowding inside shuttle vehicles. • Equip shuttle vehicles with masks readily available for distribution to unmasked passengers when needed.
