Approximately 3 hours from Tokyo, this charming petite resort nestled in the forests of Kiso offers a natural retreat. Every room provides stunning views of the Kiso mountains and is equipped with Wi-Fi for a comfortable stay. Enjoy a private sauna experience made with Kiso cypress, complete with self-pouring steam (löyly), and refresh your body and mind while stargazing. Relax in the large communal bath featuring herbal blends, and savor local delicacies such as Shinshu Premium Beef grilled on ceramic plates at our on-site restaurant. The property also includes glamping facilities where you can indulge in luxurious outdoor experiences under starry skies through skylights or surrounded by nature. Located about 20 minutes by car from the historic Narai-juku, it serves as an excellent base for exploring Shinshu's leisure activities.

    Even if you arrive after your scheduled check-in time, if you have a No Meals Included plan there is no need to contact them as long as it’s by 22:00, which is very convenient. You can truly hear the babbling stream and wild birds.It’s a small Hotel, and I felt the large public bath was fairly spacious. The front desk staff were extremely pleasant, and even after the shop had closed, they kindly sold me corn ice cream from the ice cream workshop at the front desk.The staff also looked out for our luggage—this is a very attentive and comfortable Accommodation. Since we were leaving early in the morning, I really appreciated being able to have De’Longhi coffee from the free drink service before heading out.

  • The outdoor sauna is amazing!

    The outdoor sauna was fantastic—new and properly hot. There’s also a cold plunge bath and an outdoor bench for cooling down, making it perfect for sauna lovers.

These nostalgic scenes have been beautifully painted by sento artist Mizuki Tanaka, inspired by the origins of medicinal bath culture. Drawing from the tradition of using wild herbs for healing in household baths in the Kiso region, we offer a blended herbal bath. Its aromatic properties promote metabolism and provide relief for neuralgia, back pain, stiff shoulders, rheumatism, cold sensitivity, fatigue recovery, eczema, chapped skin, frostbite, hemorrhoids, skin conditions, and joint pain.
