This time, I stayed for a one-night trip with a friend after not traveling together for a while. I had previously stayed here for my mother’s birthday, and although it was my first visit in four years, the baths were still wonderful. Above all, I love the location right in the heart of the Onsen town, and I fully enjoyed the Onsen—visiting Oyu twice as well. We booked a breakfast-only Plan, and we were very satisfied with the hearty breakfast; my friend then headed back to Osaka.

Located in the heart of the Onsen town, it was convenient for walking around, and this Ryokan beautifully preserves traces of the past—full of charm and history—while still feeling warm and homey. The “Sennen-no-Yu” baths were wonderful: the water temperature was thoughtfully divided into three levels to make soaking comfortable, and after-bath cold hand towels, ice cream, and drinks were provided. Personally, the cold hand towel during the hot summer season was the best. I was also impressed by how much Yunohana was floating in the water! The steamed buns in my Room and the trial shampoo set out in the changing area were both great—I ended up buying both (lol).This time my goal was to visit restaurants around town, so I intentionally chose No Meals Included. However, perhaps because it wasn’t peak season, fewer places were open than I expected, so I regret not choosing a Plan with meals. I’ll definitely stay here again when I visit Nozawa. Thank you very much.

When you look around the nostalgic interior, you will feel the good old traditions and the essence of Japanese culture. ■ Tokiwaya Lobby On the ceiling is the Tokiwaya family crest 'Sagarifuji,' and at the back of the lobby is the tea room 'Senshin-an.' There are also exhibits of Tokiwaya's history and materials. Please relax comfortably after your arrival and before your departure.

Our basement. The ski storage area is equipped with board racks, shoe lockers, and adjustment tables. There are also simple lockers and a coin laundry (paid). It is a 5-minute walk to Nozawa Onsen Ski Resort, Hikage Slope "Yu Road". After skiing, warm up thoroughly at the Onsen.
