    Everyone was extremely kind and attentive.The Room was clean, and the Onsen temperature was just right, so we were very satisfied.There was a wide variety of dishes; in particular, the tempura made with mountain vegetables looked great and tasted wonderful, and the grilled sweetfish was plump and delicious.It is a quiet Onsen town, but we were able to relax and were very satisfied.

    After descending from Mt. Sugoroku, I stayed here exhausted in the intense heat that felt like I might get heatstroke.Despite being completely worn out, the Onsen, a futon with clean sheets, and delicious meals were incredibly soothing.The building is old, and even the foot mats looked worn. But it was more than comfortable enough to make up for that. The breakfast and dinner, the tastiness of the rice and water—everything was great. Above all, I slept very soundly!I’d love to stay again. Thank you very much.

  • Regarding traffic restrictions on National Route 158 in the Nyukawa area.

    Due to traffic restrictions on National Route 158 in the Nyukawa area:
    A landslide has occurred on National Route 158 in the Nyukawa area between Takayama city center and Hirayu Onsen.
    Passenger cars can use a detour before the landslide site and continue toward Hirayu Onsen.
    Your car navigation system may instruct you to turn back, but you can proceed via the detour to Hirayu Onsen, and then continue to Fukuji Onsen via National Route 471.
    Please drive carefully when coming.
    Large vehicles must detour via National Route 41.

  • Fukuchi Onsen Summer Festival

    The Fukuji Onsen Summer Festival is held every year at the Festival Plaza in Fukuji Onsen Mukashibanashi-no-Sato.
    From August 4 to 20, local traditional performances are presented from 8:30 PM for about 40 minutes each night.
    You can enjoy three folk performing arts: two lion dances, “Botan Shishi” and “Henbetori,” plus the “Chicken Dance.”
    “Botan Shishi” depicts a lion playing in the fields and is a dynamic lion dance featuring acrobatic elements.
    In “Henbetori,” a snake—called “henbe” in the local dialect—is defeated by the lion after causing trouble for villagers.
    The “Chicken Dance” is an elegant dance performed in chicken costume, wearing a haori-style robe and balancing a small bamboo basket on the head.
    The Hida Ema (votive plaque) Market will also be held—please take this opportunity to purchase one.
