Log Hotel Maple Lodge
Hokkaido/Moyo OnsenA French auberge in Sorachi where you can linger in the afterglow of the forest.
Step inside and you’ll be welcomed by the scent of wood and gentle warmth of an authentic Canadian log house. Set on a vast 150,000-tsubo estate surrounded by rich nature, a quiet forest hideaway awaits. At Maple Lodge, dining is a true highlight—bringing Hokkaido’s seasonal bounty to life with vivid care. Enjoy locally raised beef from Sorachi, freshly harvested vegetables carefully selected from Hokkaido, and an array of seasonal fruits. From authentic French course dinners featuring abundant local ingredients to thoughtfully crafted meals throughout your stay, every bite adds color to your time here. In the morning, wake to soft light streaming into our high-ceilinged, open restaurant. Choose from a buffet of 50+ items gathered from local specialties—Sorachi vegetable salad marché, Moyō-grown Yumepirika rice, our signature “Bibai Torimeshi,” plus freshly baked croissants, apple pie, and more. After relaxing in the warmth of Canadian logs, unwind even deeper in our natural Onsen. Enjoy our private-source “Sodium Bicarbonate Spring,” known for its natural cleansing effect that leaves skin and hair feeling smooth, across three bathing areas: hinoki cypress bath, granite bath, and open-air bath. The outdoor area also features an authentic Finnish-style log sauna heated to 80°C with soothing löyly steam. After the sauna’s heat, immerse yourself in our open-air cold mineral spring bath at around 14°C using 100% source water to gently stimulate circulation. Gaze up at a sky full of stars and surrender to the stillness of the forest—an unforgettable sense of renewal found only here. Step away from everyday noise for just a while and savor truly restorative time at Maple Lodge.
I love this Accommodation so much that I stay almost every month. This month, I stayed as a birthday treat for myself. I am always impressed by the wonderful hospitality from the front desk and dining staff. Thank you for celebrating my birthday and for the message card and celebratory plate!Next time, I will visit with my husband for our wedding anniversary. Thank you in advance.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 7/31/2026I stayed here before and loved the food and atmosphere, so I made another Reservation. Before I knew it, the ice cream had been replaced with soft-serve, and it felt like an upgrade from last time. I’d like to stay again within this year. The shower pressure in the bath was weak, so I deducted points for that. I like it so much that I almost want to keep it as my secret Hotel.
