Okutsu Onsen Resort Yoneya Club Okutsu
Okayama Prefecture/TomataOne of Mimasaka’s Three Famous Hot Springs, renowned for beautifying baths; seasonal creative kaiseki cuisine; and skin-brightening waters to refresh both body and mind.
Okutsu Onsen, renowned as one of the "Mimasaka Three Onsens" and praised as a "Beauty Onsen," offers a warm welcome with creative kaiseki cuisine made from fresh vegetables sourced from local farmers and seasonal ingredients from the mountains and sea. Our on-site hot spring, known for its various benefits, has long been celebrated for its beautifying properties. The spacious open-air bath, "Kaede no Yu," is available primarily for private use, providing a serene retreat surrounded by nature where you can relax and forget the stresses of daily life. Additionally, we offer special dog-friendly suite rooms with semi-open-air baths so you can enjoy your stay together with your beloved pet in comfort.
We stayed with 2 adults, 3 children, and 1 dog.Even though we arrived after 6:00 PM on the day of check-in, thank you for accommodating us by changing our meal time, moving us to a dining Room where we could eat next to our dog, and upgrading our Room free of charge (even though we didn’t ask). We only realized it after we got home (laughs).Despite the busy Obon season, the front desk staff remained calm and composed, and the attendants greeted us with smiles. Our children had a great time as well.We truly appreciate being able to spend such a meaningful time there. We would love to stay again if we have the opportunity.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 8/16/2026We stayed with our family and our Standard Poodle. The exterior of the Accommodation felt a bit old, but the guest room was clean. Best of all, the room had a semi-open-air Onsen bath, dogs are welcome, and for this price—including dinner and breakfast—for a family of four plus a large dog!The meals were just the right amount (we don’t eat much), and they tasted nicely good. There were very few staff members. The only people we saw were:- The front desk staff at check-in (the owner?)- The person serving dinner (a very cute Asian foreign staff member?)- The person serving breakfast (a kind-looking mom-type)So three people in total.Futons are self-service—you lay them out yourself.Even with the cost-saving approach, everything was well within what we found acceptable, so we were able to enjoy an affordable stay with an Onsen, good food, dog walks, and a relaxing, comfortable time.Personally, I felt the Onsen was a little lukewarm. Also, it was quite cold at night (for walks), probably due to the area.Overall, it feels like a great-value Accommodation with a nostalgic Showa-era vibe—in a good way. It’s hard to put into words, but I’d like to visit again.

Introduction of the Accommodation

Okutsu Onsen, counted among the three famous hot springs of Mimasaka, has been cherished as a healing retreat for samurai warriors and the lords of Tsuyama Castle. Known since ancient times as a hot spring for beautiful skin, it is a renowned Onsen. Experience it for yourself and be convinced. The Onsen at our facility, which has its own natural hot spring source, is known for its various benefits and is highly regarded as a "beauty and whitening bath" unique to the famous Okutsu Onsen. Refresh both your mind and body with our high-quality Onsen. The walls of the large public bath feature works by sculptor Sora Mitsuaki. Enjoy the seasonal scenery as well. The spacious open-air bath, "Kaede no Yu," is primarily reserved for private use, but on weekends, there are free time slots for men and women to switch usage. Relax and unwind in this healing space surrounded by trees, forgetting the hustle and bustle of daily life. Additionally, the outdoor "Kakure no Yu" is our Hotel's pride—a private natural hot spring jet bath. Please give it a try at least once. (Reservation required, additional fee applies)

Pets are part of the family. Why not travel with your beloved pet? In December 2021, we opened a suite room where pets are welcome.
