At the Property in the nature-rich Bessho Onsen, the entire facility and all rooms are non-smoking. Traditional Japanese-style rooms overlook a historic Japanese garden, and you can relax in the lobby with jazz music. The Onsen, flowing continuously for 24 hours, is known as a beauty spring, featuring a mild water quality. Creative cuisine utilizes seasonal ingredients from Shinshu, offering gentle flavors that soothe the body and mind.
I always look forward to visiting, soothed by the Onsen waters of Bessho and the nature of Shioda-daira. This time as well, I enjoyed a relaxing stay with wonderful meals, baths, and the warm atmosphere of Nanjo Ryokan. Every dish reflected the best of the local area and was truly delicious. The building feels like time has stood still since the Showa era, which is very calming. I imagine it must be challenging to maintain such a historic Accommodation, but I think replacing the tatami mats in the Room would make it even more comfortable.I hope this Accommodation continues for many years to come. I will visit again!

Coffee, tea, and other drinks were available at the front desk, and we used them many times—much appreciated. We were slightly bothered by noise from the refrigerator in the Room. Next time, we would definitely like to stay with meals included. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Our creative cuisine is crafted with a focus on "gentle flavors" and "seasonal ingredients from Shinshu" to ease both your mind and body. With the concept of "Relax Your Mind, Relax Your Body," we also offer unique dishes with special presentations to make your dining experience even more enjoyable.

Bessho Onsen is said to have been discovered during the era of Emperor Keikō, when Yamato Takeru embarked on his eastern expedition. The high-quality water is gentle on the skin, known as a beauty-enhancing Onsen, and is highly appreciated.
Smoking is prohibited throughout the entire facility and in all rooms.
