Stunning views of Dogashima, a seaside open-air bath, and unforgettable sunsets over the vast ocean.

A breathtaking holiday in Dogashima. From the Property built along the cliffs, you can enjoy the magnificent scenery said to be the best in West Izu, with most Rooms offering stunning sunset views. At the open-air bath near the shoreline, experience the wonder of becoming one with the sea. Private baths are also available for exclusive enjoyment of the view. After a morning bath, we serve tai miso soup in the relaxation area. Relish the natural sounds of the shore, the sea breeze, and the ever-changing sunset along with the vast ocean.

  • The best location right in front of Sanshiro Island! An open-air bath with a view from the Room!Unfortunately, the weather was bad so we couldn’t see the sunset…Definitely coming back next time!

  • As I did last year, I visited again this year—my second stay. When making the Reservation, I expressed my thanks for last time and mentioned that, if possible, I would be happy to have the same attendant again. At check-in on the day, I was greeted with “We’ve been looking forward to seeing you,” which truly made me happy. We were able to meet again, and her consistently thoughtful and warm service put me at ease once more. The seaside location is exceptional as always. The breathtaking view from the Room and the gentle sound of waves in the distance were wonderfully soothing and helped me forget everyday life.Every dish was carefully prepared and delicious, and one of my highlights this time was enjoying local craft beer. I also appreciated that local Shizuoka sake was available. If you’re visiting, I especially recommend it for anyone who wants to savor flavors unique to the area.Another great point is in-room dining, so you can relax without worrying about others. Being able to enjoy a bit of conversation while hearing explanations of each dish also feels like something special about this Accommodation.Once again, I received considerate touches throughout my stay, reminding me just how wonderful the hospitality here is.I’ll be back again next year.

Location
The natural scenery of Nishi-Izu soothes the heart.

This breathtaking and stunning location offers travelers the ultimate, unadorned surprise. The coastal beauty of Dogashima, with its majestic cliffs and small islands adorned with ancient trees, is unparalleled in Nishi-Izu. The location of "Seiryu" allows guests to fully immerse themselves in this spectacular scenery. The entrance is on the 5th floor, facing the road, and from there, the structure descends along the cliffs, leading downward, ever closer to the sea. From the dining area and large communal baths to most of the guest rooms, this magnificent view can be enjoyed. At the very bottom, closest to the waves, lies the "Seaside Open-Air Bath," so close to the water that it cannot be used during rough seas. There is nothing to obstruct the view of the beautiful sunset slowly sinking into the horizon. Whether during the day, at dusk, or at night, the sense of openness and wonder unique to each moment and place is truly remarkable. The changing colors of the scenery, influenced by the seasons and weather, allow guests to experience the essence of the four seasons at Seiryu.
