700 years of history, enjoy a relaxing Onsen surrounded by nature and the blessings of the mountains.

This is a property at Shirabu Onsen, surrounded by the rich nature of Mount Azuma and the source of the Mogami River. The natural onsen with over 700 years of history can be enjoyed in the famous Olympic bath and open-air bath. We offer mountain delicacies, including the local brand Yonezawa beef, and provide comfortable rooms for a pleasant stay throughout the year.

  • We stayed at this Ryokan for my parents’ therapeutic hot-spring retreat. It’s a Ryokan that’s difficult to reach without a car, but it had a wonderful atmosphere. The staff were especially kind, and we truly enjoyed our stay.My elderly parents were delighted with the nostalgic Japanese-style room. There are many stairs inside the Accommodation, and my father, whose legs have started to weaken, had a bit of difficulty walking around the building. We had breakfast, and it was delicious Japanese food that left us completely full.

  • Thank you for your hospitality during our stay. The staff provided excellent service with a polite and respectful attitude. Both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. The "nameko mushrooms" were crisp and fresh, showcasing the quality of local ingredients, which was truly impressive. The creative dishes delighted both the eyes and the palate. The room was well-prepared, allowing us to relax comfortably, and we enjoyed the 24-hour access to the onsen without worrying about time. This is an onsen accommodation we would love to visit again. Thank you very much!

A Special Night at Shirabu Onsen Under a Sky Full of Stars

Thank you very much for your continued patronage of Nakaya Bekkan Fudokaku.

Shirabu Onsen is wrapped in tender fresh greenery.
In the mornings and evenings, the crisp, cool air feels wonderfully refreshing, revealing a quiet charm different from the daytime.

What we especially hope you will experience here is our “night sky.”

After warming up in the Onsen, step outside for a moment and look up—the sky is filled with countless stars, gently twinkling as if drawing you in.
Our inn is also close to the Tengen-dai area, well known among star photographers. Surrounded by mountains that form a natural screen, it truly feels like a planetarium created by nature itself.

[A rare chance to capture the stars on camera]
For those who would like to enjoy the night sky even more deeply:
At nearby Tengen-dai Kogen, an “Introductory Star Landscape Photography Workshop” is scheduled to be held with star landscape photographer Teruyasu Kitayama as instructor.

Why not capture this breathtaking canopy of crystal-clear mountain stars with your own camera?

For details, please visit the official Tengen-dai Kogen website.

A luxurious moment after your bath—pause for just a while and watch the stars shimmer overhead.
We hope your stay at Fudokaku becomes an unforgettable memory under the stars.

On quiet mountain nights in Shirabu, we sincerely look forward to welcoming you.
