Matsushin

Thank you very much for taking such good care of us during our stay. The location is great, and it’s just a short walk to the Meoto Iwa (Wedded Rocks). It seems many guests go to see the sunrise, but we didn’t ask in advance whether the entrance would be open, so it was disappointing to miss it this time. It’s certainly a Ryokan full of Showa-era retro charm, and thinking about how carefully everything has been used over the years—even the fan in the bath changing area sounding like it was struggling—somehow added to its character and made us feel quite attached to the place. Our Room was spacious enough, and the air conditioner was new, so we stayed comfortably. Having meals served in the Room was also wonderful—we could relax and enjoy them without worrying about others. I imagine carrying everything must have been hard work, but all of the staff were efficient, hardworking, and very polite. Above all, what impressed us most was the magnificent large boat platter of sashimi—it was truly luxurious—and there were so many other dishes that we felt almost guilty; we worked hard just trying to finish everything. Even allowing for a few minor stains, small issues, or inconveniences, we were more than satisfied overall. With prices rising these days I’m sure running things is very challenging, but I sincerely hope you will keep going for many years to come and continue protecting this wonderful place.

The view from the Room was wonderful, and it was a great Accommodation where we could also take walks with our dog. We also appreciated that water was provided for dogs.
