At a traditional Japanese Ryokan with over 100 years of history, you can experience heartfelt hospitality. All rooms offer views of a Japanese garden, and you can enjoy local cuisine featuring seasonal flavors from Yamagata. Additionally, at Tendo Onsen, the only open-air bath without a roof allows you to savor the charm of each season. The large bath 'Sato no Yu' is gentle on the skin and popular as a warming bath. Professional massage services are also available.
All the meals were delicious, and the Onsen was wonderful. The Room and bath areas were kept very clean, so we had a very comfortable stay. The amenities were well provided and really helpful. There was bottled water in the Room refrigerator, and there was also a lounge where you can freely enjoy soft drinks; we had coffee after dinner as well. The Japanese garden in the courtyard was also beautiful. We could choose our favorite yukata, which made us feel even more excited. All the staff were kind and helpful. There were lots of cute cat-themed items in the lobby, hallways, and lounge, which was very soothing. We were able to relax at a leisurely pace. There was a roadside station and a supermarket nearby, so the location was convenient as well. It was such a lovely Accommodation that we would love to stay again. Thank you very much!
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 8/30/2026I love Yamagata’s Onsen and have visited many different places.I’ve been to almost all of Tendo, but the staff’s hospitality and the meals here were truly outstanding!The food was so delicious it ranks among the top one or two in Tendo!!We stayed in the annex, and it was perfect for us as a couple who prefer a quiet setting.Everything was very clean, and the gentle hot spring water in our Room felt just like Tendo—wonderful.This is an Accommodation I would definitely recommend.Thank you very much.

Welcome to Matsushirotei Azumasou.
Walking together since the opening of Tendou Onsen, over 100 years since its establishment. We have operated the Ryokan while cherishing the beauty of the seasons and the ambiance through generations. A Japanese garden inherited from the first generation and various uniquely styled guest rooms facing the garden. Local cuisine incorporating Yamagata's seasonal flavors, such as mountain vegetables in spring and mushrooms in autumn. "Guests are treated as family for one night's stay and one meal." With this philosophy, we strive to provide hospitality that remains in the heart forever.
