We were extremely satisfied!
I was a little unsure what an Onsen Accommodation that allows dogs would be like, but after staying there it was very comfortable and I was completely satisfied. The surrounding area is great for walks with your dog, and the breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of delicious dishes that made me feel happy from the morning. Of course, the Onsen water quality was excellent as well, and I was able to relax and enjoy my stay. I made wonderful memories with my dog. I would definitely like to stay again.

The hot water was great.
I stayed here because I wanted an Accommodation close to Yubatake.Even though it was a weekday outside the Obon holiday period, it was very crowded (fully booked?), and check-in at the front desk took some time. However, the staff kindly explained how to use the Facility in a very clear and easy-to-understand way.Meals were buffet-style for both dinner and breakfast, and both had a wide variety of options. Everything was delicious, and we ate until we were full.And above all, the baths were wonderful! I soaked both at night and in the morning, and my skin felt smooth again (haha).The building does feel a bit old, but the staff’s kind and courteous service more than made up for it. We had no inconveniences.It was my first time in Kusatsu Onsen, but if I have another chance, I would definitely like to stay here again.(My husband mentioned he wished there had been razors… Perhaps they were available in the bathhouse changing area? It would have been even better if there had been guidance about amenities as well.)

Relaxing Rooms centered around Japanese-style design. Choose from spacious standard Japanese-style Rooms, Japanese-Western Rooms with a large Western-style living area, and even a dedicated pet-friendly floor where you can stay with your dog—options to suit every need. From Rooms on the front entrance side, you can enjoy views of Yubatake, the symbol of Kusatsu Onsen.

Onsen

Enjoy the hot spring water from Yubatake, Kusatsu’s iconic landmark. Yubatake is right in front of the Hotel. The continuously flowing source water has the distinctly Kusatsu quality with a faint sulfur scent; although strongly acidic, it feels gentle on the skin. “Kusatsu Onsen Daitokan” is a long-established Ryokan involved in the development of Kusatsu Onsen, and one of the few Accommodations that draws water directly from the Yubatake source via a dedicated pipe. Please enjoy it to your heart’s content in four different baths.

Cuisine

Meals to choose from: buffet or kaiseki. We offer both a restaurant and private dining rooms, and you can choose either a buffet or kaiseki for dinner. Both feature carefully crafted flavors using local ingredients and fresh seasonal produce. Enjoy a variety of delicious dishes that rival the appeal of our Onsen.
