Yahoo!トラベルユー... 5/5/2026Stayed during New Year's Unique location with breathtaking views! Fishing is available, and they even cooked the fish we caught. The Room was clean, and while there are only stairs to the second floor, there is a handrail. The meals were luxurious and very satisfying. Both sunrise and sunset were stunning! Would love to stay again.

Introduction of the Accommodation

Warmth of Hinoki Cypress
At Hinoki Ougisou, built entirely of Japanese cypress, every detail is crafted from hinoki wood, letting you feel its natural warmth throughout the property. Our pride and joy is the all-hinoki bath, which deepens the atmosphere even further. As you soak in the softly fragrant aroma of hinoki, a soothing comfort spreads along with your travel memories—truly a blissful moment. Hinoki is said to have strong calming properties, helping you relax and supporting stress relief and recovery from fatigue. Our dedication to hinoki comes from the founder’s experience: “Because we’re close to the sea, salty air inevitably blows in with the wind. But after living here for 50 years, I came to realize that hinoki is the most resistant to sea breezes.”

A full cypress-wood bath, from the ceiling to the washing area.
This bath is crafted entirely from Japanese cypress (hinoki)—the tub, washing area, floor, beams, and walls. It took a total of eight years to complete: four years to gather the materials and four years to build. Inside the hinoki bathhouse, a wood-burning stove is kept lit to dry the air while the hinoki is carefully polished. Thanks to this dedication, you can enjoy a truly refreshing hinoki bath.
