  • An Accommodation with Wonderful Cloudy Hot Springs and Thoughtful Hospitality

    I stayed with my elderly mother. After letting them know in advance, they prepared a Room close to the bath and even provided a legless chair, which we truly appreciated. Both dinner and breakfast offered a wide variety of dishes, and each one was delicious—we were very satisfied. My mother was especially happy to enjoy many different dishes little by little. The bath was a milky, cloudy hot spring, with the temperature just right, and it felt wonderful no matter how many times we went in. We were able to relax and spend quality time together as parent and child while warming up slowly. Most Accommodations provide only one small towel, but here there was an extra small towel in addition to the amenity set (with towels), which I found very convenient. The experienced staff had a calm, reassuring “true hotel professional” manner, and their explanations about the facilities were very thorough. The international staff also made a great effort to explain things in Japanese, and their friendly smiles left a strong impression. I think this is an Accommodation with warm hospitality that is also considerate for families traveling with elderly relatives. I would love to visit again with my mother.

  • It was the most relaxing experience.

    The Onsen was excellent, with a rich sulfur scent and a beautiful bluish hue. The Room was clean, and all the staff were kind. We were very satisfied with both breakfast and dinner, as there was a wide variety of dishes. (Breakfast was a bit salty overall, so it would be perfect if the seasoning were lighter.)

Enjoy the clear air filled with negative ions and the immunity-boosting Onsen.

Oku-Nikko Yumoto Onsen is the fourth most concentrated sulfur Onsen in Japan. With 20 types of benefits, it is said that soaking in the Onsen for 10 minutes and inhaling the steam for 20 minutes may enhance immunity. The color of the Onsen changes depending on the compounds, air temperature, and the degree of air mixing on the day. (Green, cobalt blue, milky white, transparent, etc.)

Pet-friendly Hotel

To relieve pet stress, we recommend Oku-Nikko with its fresh air and abundant negative ions. Hotel staff also love pets. This is not a pet-exclusive hotel, so there are only four rooms in the annex where you can stay with your pet. Although the view is not great, since it is a separate building, you can stay without worrying about disturbing other guests even if your pet barks a little.

Try the chef's "Special Japanese Cuisine Course."

The meal includes soup, appetizers, various sashimi, Kirifuri Highland beef shabu-shabu, grilled dishes, simmered dishes, cold dishes, additional side dishes, and upgraded desserts.
