Savor the beauty of nature in every season, sulfur hot springs, and the flavors of Shinshu.

Kumanoyu Hotel, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery of each season, is located in a place surrounded by nature. The historic sulfur Onsen, with its natural flow directly from the source, changes color depending on the day, and you can relax in the indoor bath made entirely of cypress wood. Additionally, its location, just a 5-minute walk to the Maeyama Lift, is ideal for those who enjoy activities. The spacious Japanese-style rooms allow you to unwind while feeling close to nature, and you can savor local flavors such as Shinshu beef sukiyaki. Furthermore, you can continue to use the Onsen even after check-out, and parking is prioritized for guests.

  • The Onsen and the meat were both excellent.

I stayed on the Shinshu Beef Plan. The meat was more generous than expected and absolutely delicious. There were also plenty of fresh vegetables, and the simple preparation let me fully enjoy their natural flavors. The Facility is old, but it has many furnishings that convey its history, and the overall atmosphere lets you immerse yourself in a Showa-era vibe. Perhaps due to energy-saving measures, some corridors and the post-bath lounge felt a bit dark at night and were slightly unsettling, but I can imagine how challenging it must be to maintain such large-scale facilities. The Onsen is one I want to visit again and again—please keep up the great work!

  • Onsen is the best!

This time, we stayed at Kuma no Yu Hotel at the request of my 90-year-old mother. Since we had requested a room with good accessibility in advance, we were provided with a room close to the elevator. The onsen had a jade-green color and was very warming. However, unfortunately, the outdoor rock bath was too cold to stay in for long. Dinner was just the right amount and delicious. Breakfast was a buffet, but oddly enough, there was no ketchup or grain mustard for the sausages. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay with excellent onsen facilities.

Three baths to enjoy the jade-colored hot spring water
