Ibaraki Prefecture/Mt. Tsukuba OnsenA Scenic Resort with Stunning Views of Nature-Rich Mt. Tsukuba
Located on the slopes of Mount Tsukuba, "Hotel Ichibo" is a luxurious accommodation surrounded by the beautiful nature of all four seasons. All 17 guest rooms offer breathtaking views of the Kanto Plain and Mount Tsukuba, providing a serene escape from daily life. The attached "Tsukuba no Yu" features open-air baths and private baths where you can enjoy relaxing moments in an Onsen setting. Guests can also savor dishes made with fresh local ingredients from Ibaraki, making it a perfect place to refresh both body and mind. With nearby attractions such as the Mount Tsukuba Cable Car and Tsukubasan Shrine, it is an ideal base for sightseeing.
I stayed here for a trip to Mt. Tsukuba Shrine, the Omido pilgrimage, and the Makabe Hina Festival.I also used the private bath, and both the Room and bath were great. This time I booked with breakfast only (no dinner), but breakfast was served in a half-buffet style and the rice was delicious. Next time I’d like to stay with two meals included. Some Reviews mentioned that the toilet is small, but the Room was very clean and nice.I’d like to stay again. Thank you very much.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 3/2/2026It was my first stay, and both dinner and breakfast were very delicious. I was able to relax and enjoy a restful time. However, there was a power outage at night, and it was difficult to go to the restroom in the dark. The next morning, I went to the Onsen, but the showers could not be used at all. The air conditioning in the changing room was also off, which was inconvenient. The scale in the changing room we used the previous day could not be used because its batteries were dead. I would appreciate regular checks of amenities and equipment.

See AllIntroduction of the Accommodation

Onsen × Nature × Stunning Views = The Formula for Bliss. A panoramic experience for your heart and eyes! Stay at Hotel Ichibou.
Our history began when our founder opened a small tea house called "Ichibo Chaya" at this location. Later, we started an accommodation, collaborated with nearby ryokans to dig an onsen, and opened the day-use facility "Tsukuba no Yu." After generations passed, Hotel Ichibo underwent renovations in April 2023 to take its current form. When visiting the charming Mount Tsukuba for activities such as hiking, sightseeing, or enjoying its history and onsen, we would be delighted if you choose our accommodation. Our staff sincerely looks forward to welcoming you.
