  • [Notice] Introduction of the Accommodation Tax in Nagano Prefecture

    Due to revisions to Nagano Prefecture ordinances, for stays on or after Monday, June 1, 2026, the following Accommodation Tax will be charged per person per night in addition to the Accommodation Fee.

    ■ June 1, 2026 – May 31, 2029: JPY 200 per person per night for stays with an accommodation rate of JPY 6,000 or more (before tax)
    ■ On or after June 1, 2029: JPY 300 per person per night for stays with an accommodation rate of JPY 6,000 or more (before tax)

    * Even if you have already paid your Accommodation Fee in advance (e.g., by prepayment card), you will still need to pay the Accommodation Tax separately at check-in.
    * The Accommodation Tax may be exempt if certain conditions are met—such as educational/research activities including school trips—or community club activities associated with the regional expansion of junior high school club activities. To receive the exemption, please submit a certificate to the Accommodation.
