The 17.8 square meter rooms accommodate up to three guests and offer a pleasant sea view. Two baths with horizon views, though slightly small, are our proud observation baths. Fresh fish delivered on the same day is served as sashimi, salt-grilled, simmered, or deep-fried.
I stayed here the night before because I wanted to see the Kaiwo Maru under full sail.At check-in, I unexpectedly ran into a child on the stairs!And again when heading out for dinner, right in front of the bath area!My wife and I laughed and wondered if it was a “zashiki-warashi,” and it gave us a warm, cozy feeling.The food was delicious, and we were very satisfied.As for the Kaiwo Maru under full sail mentioned in the title, perhaps because the weather was bad in the morning, it wasn’t fully set—only about half of the sails were raised. It was disappointing, but we decided we’ll check another full-sail day and come again.When we do, we’d love to stay here again.

The building has a nostalgic Showa-era charm, which adds to its unique character. Enjoying meals made with local ingredients while feeling the history is an absolute delight. The view from the bath is breathtaking! The sea, mountains, and even the highway extending into the ocean all provide a soothing experience. This is an accommodation I would love to stay at again.
