    Artists from 14 countries and regions—more than 58 groups in total—will gather here.
    Works will be presented across lush forests, the atmospheric Gero Onsen townscape, the historic streets of Hida-Hagiwara post town,
    and a former school built entirely of hinoki cypress.
    Art created through deep engagement with the area’s nature, history, and daily life
    reflects the relationship between people and nature—and where we have come from, and where we are headed.

    Surrender yourself to art and Onsen to free your body, mind, and senses,
    and set out on a journey of discovery—rediscovering both the region and yourself.

    Hagiwara Shopping Street [Viewing Hours] 9:30–18:00
    A charming shopping street that once flourished as a post town on the Hida Highway.
    Sake breweries, butcher shops, and cafés line the street. The “Tenryo Morning Market” is also held on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays.

    Minami-Hida Health Promotion Center [Viewing Hours] 9:30–16:30
    A prefectural Facility surrounded by rich forests and rural settlements.
    Enjoy ongoing works as well as artworks scattered across a wider area while exploring “Shibi no Mori” forest trails.
    On weekends, the marche “Rakuichi Rakaza” is also held.

    Former Yuya Elementary School [Viewing Hours] 9:30–17:00
    An all-hinoki wooden school building that serves as the stage for “Everyone’s School.”
    Built in 1954, it remains a symbol of forestry in Osaka Town, with beautiful original architectural details and wide-plank ceilings still intact.

    Around Gero Onsen Area [Viewing Hours] 9:30–17:00
    A renowned hot-spring area known for its “beautifying waters.”
    Works will be displayed in vacant shops around town as well as beside “Gero Onsen Gassho Village,” in a gassho-style setting.

For the 6th to 45th vehicles, we will direct you to the adjacent “Gero Onsen Sakae Paid Parking.”
The parking fee is 1,500 yen per night; however, we subsidize half of this fee for staying guests.
If you arrive early on your check-in day or plan to park for an extended time after check-out for hot spring hopping, shopping, or sightseeing around town, using our parking subsidy program will be more cost-effective.
