Minami-Aso/Kukino Onsen “Shiki no Mori” is a 30-minute drive from Kumamoto Airport, and a 40-minute drive via the Tawarayama Tunnel from the Kyushu Expressway “Mashiki Kumamoto Airport IC.”
By public transport: Take the Sanko Bus “Rapid Takamori” and get off at Shinmura Bus Stop.
By car: From the Kyushu Expressway (Mashiki Kumamoto Airport IC), follow Route 28 toward Kumamoto Airport and continue to Minami-Aso via the Tawarayama Tunnel.
