Both the cuisine and the Onsen are excellent.
I’m a Yamagata resident.I was satisfied with both the food and the Onsen.The breakfast and dinner buffets were especially outstanding.The ramen served at the breakfast buffet and the beef bowl with Yonezawa beef were exceptional.At the dinner buffet, the handmade soba was particularly delicious.There was also imoni, which visitors from outside the prefecture may enjoy, but locals will enjoy it even more.The Accommodation rate was affordable, and you can enjoy wonderful food and an Onsen at a great price.I’m glad I stayed here.I’ll be back.

I saw many Reviews saying the Facilities and building are old, but I could really feel the Hotel’s history—it had charm and a nostalgic atmosphere, and I had a very comfortable stay. Both the common areas and the guest room were well cleaned and felt very sanitary. I used the Onsen at 7:00 PM, and only about 2–3 people came and went, so it felt uncrowded for a holiday weekend. The next morning I bathed at 5:00 AM, and around five people came and went. The water temperature was just right, and both the large public bath and the open-air bath were very relaxing. The dinner/breakfast venue was nearly full. With such a wide variety of dishes, guests from small children to seniors won’t need to worry about meals. Everything was delicious. The local specialty taro soup was so good that I had three refills. The service was also excellent—everyone was properly courteous, from the front desk staff to the dining staff to the housekeeping staff at checkout. If you’re parking an Alphard-class vehicle, I recommend backing in or using an outer parking space; getting in and out of some spaces may be tight.

Kaminoyama Onsen – Hot Springs for Beautiful Skin

The history of Kaminoyama Onsen is said to date back to Choroku 2 (1458), when a monk named Gesshu from Hizen Province (present-day Saga Prefecture) saw a crane soaking its leg in hot water bubbling up from a marsh during his travels, then flying away after its injury healed. This Onsen is also known as “Tsuru-sune no Yu” (Crane Shin Hot Spring).
