A highland resort village where you can unwind in a radon hot spring, with seasonal dining and activities to enjoy all year round.

The three peaks of Mount Hiruzen form a beautiful ridgeline, and Jersey cows graze peacefully. Welcome to Hiruzen Kogen Kyukamura, a tranquil highland retreat where you can enjoy radon hot springs. From the guest rooms and lobby of the main building, you can take in panoramic views of the lush mountains, and while soaking in the natural radon hot springs, you can fully enjoy the pastoral scenery. For dinner, we offer seasonal kaiseki cuisine and a highland buffet featuring local ingredients, including dairy products unique to the area. The resort is packed with activities characteristic of Kyukamura, such as stargazing at the Milky Way and firefly watching in summer, or enjoying campfires and making mini igloos in winter. Experience an extraordinary stay where you might even spot a shooting star beyond the three peaks of Mount Hiruzen.

  • It was the first time I truly felt how fresh and clean the air was—you can’t experience air like this in Osaka.Since it was during the rainy season, it was a shame we couldn’t see the stars.

  • With Shuttle Service to the trailhead, a boxed lunch, drinks, and an Onsen after the hike (towel included), I have nothing to complain about.Even though we came down a bit late, I truly appreciated how considerate the staff were. Thank you again. The weather was great, and we fully enjoyed two peaks of Hiruzen. Perhaps it was the season as well—Hiruzen was in full bloom with azaleas and weigela, and the views stretching to Mt. Daisen’s south face and even out to the Sea of Japan were outstanding. I’ll be sure to recommend this to my hiking friends. Thank you very much for everything.
