- Kyukamura Nyuto Onsenkyo
Bathe in the beech forest and enjoy Akita's specialty cuisine.
Experience one of the hidden hot springs, Nyuto Seven Onsen, surrounded by a beech forest. Enjoy two natural Onsen, Nyuto Onsen and Tazawako Kogen Onsen, in both indoor and open-air baths. The open-air bath, encircled by beech trees, offers a forest bathing-like experience, bringing deep relaxation. For dinner, indulge in a buffet of approximately 40 dishes featuring Akita's specialty cuisine, filled with local flavors to your satisfaction. Unique activity programs exclusive to Kyukamura are available, including the "Beech Forest Walking" during the summer season, where you can breathe in the fresh, clean air.
Dining They offer local specialties, and every dish is carefully prepared—everything is delicious. The staff serve portions for you and come around the table to share items, so you can enjoy the meal without getting bored. Plus, dessert can be taken back to your Room, so you can relax and enjoy it later.Baths The changing area has lockable lockers instead of baskets, so you can keep your clothes and valuables all in one place. There are two different hot spring sources, plus an open-air bath—it feels amazing. They also provide extra amenities such as face wash, heel cleaner, and peeling gel—those nice “plus alpha” touches.Room There’s a hair dryer in the Room as well, which is convenient. They provide a basket for going to the baths, slipper tags, fabric spray (Febreze), tape for catching bugs, bottled water, a toothbrush stand, cotton swabs, and more—small things that are surprisingly helpful. The slippers are not disposable; they’re the typical Ryokan style shared slippers, so if that bothers you I recommend bringing your own. They also have a free drink bar and ice pops, and not only toothbrushes but also trial-size toner lotion/skin lotion products like toner/lotion (toner), emulsion/moisturizer (milk lotion), facial cleanser, shower caps, etc.The entire property is full of thoughtful touches that really resonate with experienced travelers—things that make you think “this is exactly what’s convenient.” They held our luggage before check-in and even lent us bath towels and face towels for hot-spring hopping free of charge—it was truly helpful. We’ll definitely be back again. Thank you very much.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 6/7/2026The building itself felt fairly ordinary, but it was clean and pleasant.Above all, the meals were outstanding, and we were extremely satisfied. They focused on local ingredients and dishes, all delicious and thoughtfully prepared—it truly made us glad we came. The omelet and raw egg made with Hinai chicken eggs were excellent. It was my first time eating so much iburigakko with cream cheese. It turned into a very satisfying trip.If I have the chance, I’d like to stay with the Kyukamura group again.
