The birthplace of the Onsen symbol, Isobe Onsen has been cherished by many poets since the Edo period. This long-established Ryokan embodies Japanese tradition, featuring spacious Japanese-style rooms "Kafukan" built in the Sukiya style, a bicarbonate strong saline cold mineral Onsen known as "Beauty's Bath," seasonal Kaiseki Japanese cuisine using local ingredients, and the popular soft tofu in the Japanese-style breakfast.
At the breakfast buffet, the chef prepared dashimaki tamago and onigiri on the spot (you can choose the fillings), and I was happy to enjoy them freshly made. Today’s miso soup had clams in it, with a rich clam broth—it was delicious and comforting. There was a wide variety of dishes and desserts, including konjac-based items and Ota’s famous yakisoba, so choosing was fun and exciting. I’d love to stay again.
Yahoo!トラベルユー... 7/8/2026I made a last-minute Reservation the day before and stayed on an affordable Plan, and I was very satisfied with both the quantity and quality of dinner and breakfast.What especially stood out were the mineral-spring rice porridge served at the end of dinner and the yudofu (tofu hot pot) at breakfast. Both had a gentle flavor yet plenty of umami, and were truly delicious.The Onsen in the large public bath left my skin feeling smooth, and the moisture lasted even after bathing.For this price with everything included, this is an Accommodation I would definitely like to stay at again.
