    The food was high quality, and the service was excellent.The bath was very relaxing, and the Room was clean.Since we stayed on a weekday, it wasn’t very crowded. We would like to stay again.

  • Only what you like

    This is my third stay, and I’m grateful for the advance phone call, the consistently kind and cheerful welcome, and how comfortable it feels even when traveling alone. This time I think I’ve found my own way to enjoy it. I come mainly for the baths and meals: arrive early, pick out some souvenirs, relax in the bath, and then eat plenty of only what I want. Forget balance—an indulgent choice.It was also very helpful to have a trash bin placed in the large public bath. It feels like you really understand guests’ needs.Just one thing: the area around the elevator on the 3rd floor smelled strongly of cigarettes. This is a strict comment from a non-smoker.I look forward to staying again.

The Mikado Gate conveying the history of Unzen

The 800-year-old giant oak tree, which remained unscathed during the eruption of Mount Unzen Fugen-dake (Heisei Year 3), was regrettably felled due to the construction of a disaster prevention dam to mitigate debris flow disasters. However, the owner of our Hotel, wishing to preserve this tree's long history, acquired it and, after much trial and error, participated in its design and completion.
