  • The food was absolutely delicious!

    The interior had a stylish retro atmosphere. The Onsen was spacious with excellent water quality, and even after bathing I stayed warmly heated to the core for a long time. The staff were also very cheerful and provided pleasant service, making for a wonderful holiday. I would love to stay again.

    Living in Nagasaki, I stay here several times a year when I visit Oita.I can spend a relaxing time, the meals are excellent, and I always enjoy a comfortable stay.Next time, I plan to stay again to coincide with my eldest daughter’s visit home.I have one request: since we often go to the bath at different times, if possible, I would appreciate it if you could provide two room keys.

    Outdoor Pool Opening Period (FY2026): July 4 to September 23

    Regarding the outdoor pool at our Accommodation,
    as there is a Silver Week holiday period in September this year, we will keep it open through the September long weekend.
    We warmly invite you and your family to Taiseikaku to enjoy both the pool and the Onsen!

    Outdoor 25 m Pool (Depth: 1.1 m)
    ● Open Period: July 4, 2026 (Sat) – September 23, 2026 (Mon)
    ● Fee: Free for guests using an overnight Plan or a day-use lunch Plan!
    *Pool use is also available when using the drop-in bath, but a fee applies. In that case, the pool + bathing set fee is JPY 1,500 for adults and JPY 1,000 for children (ages 3 and over). Please note that drop-in bath reception days are irregular, so be sure to call us in advance before visiting.*

    ● Hours: Mondays & Tuesdays 14:00–19:00 / Wednesdays–Sundays 11:00–19:00
    Please be sure to read.
    *Please bring your own swimsuit, towel, float rings, etc. Swimsuit rentals are not available.*
    *Children of elementary school age or younger must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.*
    *The changing room is shared with the large public bath.*

  • The 2026 “Ukai” (Cormorant Fishing) season begins on Friday, June 5!

    As a summer tradition of Harazuru Onsen, the “Chikugo River Cormorant Fishing” will begin next month on Friday, June 5!
    For the first 500 guests only, the Ukai Campaign offers a ¥1,000 discount off the regular price.
    Seats are limited, so if you wish to join, please apply as early as possible!
    *As of 7/22: The campaign has ended as it reached capacity. From then on, standard pricing applies.*

    ■ Period: Friday, June 5, 2026 – Wednesday, September 30, 2026
    *Operating days are generally Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and during the Obon period (the dates highlighted in yellow on the flyer).*

    ■ Fees (shared boat):
    Adults (junior high school and older) ¥2,500 → ¥1,500 with the Ukai Campaign discount
    Children (elementary school) ¥1,500 → ¥500 with the Ukai Campaign discount
    Toddlers (ages 3 to under elementary school age) ¥800 → Free with the Ukai Campaign discount

    *For cancellations due to guest circumstances after 18:00 on the day of departure (including no-shows), a Cancellation Fee of 100% will apply.*

    Departure around 20:15 (boats depart in order once all guests have arrived).
