The Room was comfortable, and the Onsen, meals, and hospitality from all the staff were wonderful, so we had a very pleasant stay. Overall, we were very satisfied.However, there was one disappointing point. When I made the Reservation in April, I requested that we be assigned a location with as little walking as possible because I was traveling with my elderly mother. Yet two days before our stay, we were informed that the lobby is on the 3rd floor and there is an elevator up to the 2nd floor, but to reach our reserved Room on the 1st floor there are about 20 steps of stairs. By then it was already within the period when a Cancellation Fee would apply, so in the end my mother had to push herself and use the stairs.Given the property’s location and structure, I understand that having stairs cannot be helped. However, since I had mentioned at the time of Reservation that we wanted to minimize movement due to traveling with an elderly guest, it would have been more reassuring if you could have informed us then about access from the lobby to the guest Room.Because everything else—the Room, Onsen, meals, and service—was truly excellent, this was my only lingering regret.If you are staying with an elderly person or someone who is unsteady on their feet, I recommend confirming access to your Room when you make your Reservation.

I treated myself to a luxurious solo stay in a Room with a private open-air bath.From the deck, I could see fireflies flying right in front of me, and the bath temperature was just right for a long soak. I used it many times during my stay.Meals were served in a private dining room, so I could relax and take my time.There was an incredible amount of food, but everything was delicious, so I finished it all!There is both an indoor public bath and an open-air bath, and I tried both. The open-air bath requires going up and down quite a lot of stairs.Since the indoor public bath also has an open-air section, that alone might be enough.The layout inside the building is a bit complicated. The elevator only goes up to the second floor, but my Room was on the first floor, so each time I had to get off the elevator and use stairs to move around.If you have trouble with your legs or back, it may be better to request a Room on the second floor or higher (though Rooms with private open-air baths may only be on the first floor).I also wished there were an outlet by the bed for charging my phone (I ended up forcing it by plugging in behind the TV).On departure, I even received what seemed like a handmade souvenir.It was an Accommodation with truly warm hospitality.I’d love to visit again.
