A hot spring Accommodation surrounded by greenery, offering panoramic sunrise and night views, and the rich flavors of local specialties.

Hotel Sansuikan, located in the Kannawa Onsen area with its rising steam, is a property surrounded by lush greenery. From the large public bath and open-air bath on the first floor, as well as the panoramic bath and open-air bath on the sixth floor, guests can enjoy sweeping views of Beppu's sea, cityscape, and onsen steam, providing relaxation for both body and mind. The rooms are spacious at 66 square meters, featuring a hinoki open-air bath, a jet bath, and a steam sauna. Additionally, guests can savor dishes prepared with fresh seafood, seasonal vegetables, fruits, and reliable meats nurtured by the Seto Inland Sea and Bungo Channel.

  • I’ve been to Beppu many times, but this was my first stay at Sansuikan. Thank you for a relaxing time. My elderly siblings and I even talked about coming again next time (lol).

  • I had long admired the view of the Kannawa Onsen townscape with its rising steam, and this was my first time staying at Hotel Sansuikan. The view of the Onsen town from my Room, as well as from the corridor leading to the large public bath on the sixth floor, was wonderful, and I was able to relax and take my time. The baths were very well cleaned, and the Onsen water felt pleasant—warming me through and leaving me soothed for a long time. Both breakfast and dinner were served in a private dining room, and our assigned staff member provided outstanding service. From clear explanations of each dish to thoughtful touches in casual conversation, I truly felt the Hotel’s hospitality. The meals were prepared mainly with local ingredients and were delicious. What impressed me even more was how perfectly cooked the rice was; not only were the locally grown rice and high-quality water excellent, but it was so good that I could even sense the cook’s care in every bite.I was also very satisfied with the service and attentiveness of all staff throughout the Hotel. In particular, there were several international staff members at both reception and in the dining area; everyone’s service was excellent, using polite Japanese hospitality expressions that can be difficult even for native speakers. It made me feel that Hotel Sansuikan’s training is thorough. I would love to stay again next time.

Hell Tour, approximately 5 minutes by car from our facility.

Japan's highest Onsen output, the hot spring town 'Beppu'. In addition to Onsen, there are many attractive tourist destinations such as leisure activities. The Kannawa and Kamegawa hell areas have been recorded in the 'Bungo Fudoki' as places where steam, hot mud, and hot water have erupted for over a thousand years. Due to being a detested and inaccessible land, it came to be referred to as 'hell' by people.

Beppu Hachiyu, our Onsen is Kannawa Onsen.

Beppu Hachiyu consists of eight Onsen: Beppu, Hamawaki, Kankaiji, Horita, Myoban, Kannawa, Shibaseki, and Kamegawa. A unique feature of Beppu Hachiyu is its wide distribution from Beppu's city center to its outskirts. Additionally, there are approximately 400 Onsen available for bathing with an entrance fee, each offering slightly different water qualities, allowing for a diverse Onsen experience.
