The hotel at Kawayu Onsen, renowned for its therapeutic benefits, offers "Acidic Alum Onsen" with natural flow, without water addition or circulation. There are three onsen baths available with "high, medium, and low" temperature settings. The rooms are filled with nostalgic items such as tea cabinets and low tables, and meals can be enjoyed around a traditional hearth. Rooms with tatami beds are also available, but limited in number, so please confirm during reservation. Enjoy the nostalgic atmosphere and delicious meals along with the onsen.
This was my third stay here, as part of a summer training program.The hot spring water is simply wonderful, but it seems the Facilities can be damaged because of it.There was a handwritten note explaining the reasons—such as how it relates to the spring’s mineral content—and it felt thoughtfully handled.This year I chose a plan without meals, so I can’t comment on the food.During this stay, I accidentally left something behind in my Room, and I truly appreciate how warmly and kindly you responded to my request.Thank you very much.I’d love to visit again someday during the colder season.

The baths are divided into lukewarm, medium, and hot temperatures, so I soaked in the lukewarm bath many times and my skin became wonderfully smooth. However, I really wish something could be done about the parking. There is a public parking lot a short walk away, and I should have parked there instead.

There are many nostalgic items such as tea cabinets and low tables. Old textbooks and an 8mm camera might be found somewhere in this Room. There is nothing you are prohibited from touching, so feel free to open drawers and explore. If you're thirsty, we can provide drinks, and you can enjoy grilling fish over charcoal at the hearth. Depending on the season, we also offer a Property Plan with dinner at the hearth. Experience an "extraordinary day" here!

Nostalgic traditional sweets bring back fond memories, often eliciting joyful exclamations. It's not uncommon to see people purchasing these nostalgic treats in bulk when they unexpectedly come across them. Operating hours are from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM (hours may change without notice during off-peak seasons).
